Ludie Bouldin
Director
Ludie started Pip with a few neighbors as a one-room nursery for farm families, and she still unlocks the door most mornings. She is the person to call about shifts, assistance and your child's place.

A nonprofit child care center
Pip is a nonprofit child care center for Coahoma County families who work the fields, the casinos and the bus routes. Choose an early, day or late shift for your child, from six weeks to five years old.

Tell us about any allergy at the tour. Once you enroll, we ask again in private.
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib.

Our team
Every room has a lead teacher you'll meet at the tour.

Director

Infants and toddlers lead
Jamilla cares for our youngest children and keeps a note for each family at pickup: feeding, naps and what your baby tried today. She is the first face most early-shift parents see.

Threes and Fours lead
Sharla leads the Threes and the Fours: stories, counting games, paint and the walk out to the yard. In spring she plans the move to kindergarten with each family.
While you wait on assistance
State child care assistance can take weeks to come through. Tell us the day you apply, and we explain how long we can hold a place for you.
We can't promise a place, because it depends on who else is waiting. We do tell you where you stand, in plain words, so you can plan.

From families
“I start at the gin at 5:30. Pip opens before I leave the house, and Jamilla has a note ready about my daughter's morning before I finish signing in.”
“I drive a school bus, and my afternoon route runs late. Ludie told me up front what happens when I'm behind, and it's written down, so there are no surprises.”
“I work the late shift at the casino. We were waiting on assistance, and Ludie told us how long a place could be held and what to bring to the state office.”
