Four rooms, three shifts

Pick your child's room, then the shift that fits your week

Every shift runs Monday to Friday. Early starts at the first bus and the field gate, day is the usual working day, and late runs until the last shift lets out.

The four rooms

What each room does with the day

A move to the next room is planned with you before it happens.

A sunny playroom with a soft foam climbing set, foam steps and a small slide
6 weeks to 2 years

Infants and toddlers

Floor play, songs and board books. Jamilla keeps a note for each family at pickup: feeding, naps and what your baby tried today. Bottles and naps follow your baby's own rhythm.

  • Tummy time and floor play

  • Walking, climbing and pushing a toy

  • Naming things in picture books

Four toddlers and preschoolers pressing play dough on a rug with a teacher at the edge
2 to 3 years

Twos

A play kitchen, blocks and the first art table. Children play beside friends and start to share, with a teacher close by.

  • Singing, shaking and drumming

  • Dressing up in the play kitchen

  • Digging in the sand and the yard

Four preschoolers threading wooden beads at a table with a teacher at the edge
3 to 4 years

Threes

Circle time, paint and helping jobs. Sharla leads the Threes and the Fours, so the next room has a familiar face in it.

  • Circle time and helping jobs

  • Painting, cutting and gluing

  • Telling a story from a picture book

A teacher reading to four children on a rug, one of them in a small wheelchair
4 to 5 years

Fours

Stories, counting games and plenty of time in the yard. In spring Sharla plans the move to kindergarten with each family.

  • Writing a name and a longer story

  • Counting games with blocks and beads

  • Gardening in the raised bed
