Frequently asked questions

What hours are you open?

From 5:00 am to 7:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Your child comes on one shift, early, day or late, not for the whole span.

Which ages do you take?

From six weeks to the year before kindergarten, in four rooms: Infants and toddlers, Twos, Threes and Fours.

What does the license mean?

The Mississippi State Department of Health licenses child care centers, and its rules set how many children each teacher may care for.

Can we tour?

Yes. Book a tour online or call. A tour takes about half an hour, your child is welcome to come along, and we offer tours at the end of the day.

What does a day look like?

Breakfast, play and learning, time outside, lunch and rest, and an afternoon of play. The late shift also has supper.

How does tuition work?

It depends on your child's room, the shift and the days a week. Ludie gives you the figures in writing at the tour.

Can my child start while my assistance is pending?

Call us the day you apply. We tell you how long we can hold a place for you and what to bring. We can't promise a place, because it depends on who else is waiting.

What if my child is ill?

Keep your child home with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea or a rash we don't recognize. If a child becomes ill here, we call you and ask you to come.

Who may pick up my child?

Only the people on your pickup list. We ask anyone we don't know for photo ID, and a teacher hands your child to you at the room door.

Do you share photos of children?

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Still have a question?

Call, write or come by, and Ludie will answer.
